Kevin Clement, 23, and Derrick Rogers, 25, have both been charged with Armed Robbery. Boston Police detectives from Area C-6, members FBI Bank Robbery Task Force and Bureau of Investigative Services made the arrests on Wednesday evening.

In their arraignment today in South Boston District Court, Judge Michael Bolden ordered Clement held on $75,000 and Rogers on $50,000. Prosecutors had requested that each be held on $500,000 cash bail. Both men are due back before the judge on May 1.

According to District Attorney Daniel Conley's office, the two suspects were arrested after a domestic violence call came into police from 312 Warren St. in Roxbury on Wednesday evening. "Officers responding to the scene observed large quantities of marijuana and executed a search warrant," said Jake Wark, a spokesman for Conley. "In addition to seizing the marijuana, the officers also discovered a large quantity of cash believed to have been stolen from the Tremont Credit Union, as well as clothing stashed in a bag with the cash."

More than $100,000 was recovered at the Warren Street scene, according to Wark. Clement was arrested at the scene, Wark said. Rogers was apprehended a short time later.

Police say that Clement and Rogers walked in to the Tremont Credit Union in the Boston Teachers Union hall in Dorchester at around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning saying they had a bomb in the bag they were carrying. The pair demanded money and took an estimated $200,000. They ran from the building, leaving the bag behind. "It was so fast," a teller could be heard to say as she was shuffled out of the building by police.
