A crowd of more than 200 people turned out at the north plaza of Ashmont Station on Tuesday afternoon for the official unveiling of Sleeping Moon, a sculpture by artist Joseph Wheelwright. The piece was commissioned five years ago by a committee of neighbors led by the Dorchester Arts Collaborative. The event featured a performance by the Boston City Singers and remarks by MBTA general manager Richard Davey, among other officials. A reception followed at Ashmont Grill.
