The Boston Police Department reports a man was shot around 3:30 p.m. at 68 American Legion Highway, between Morton Street and Blue Hill Avenue.

The man was taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds to the back, stomach and leg. Homicide detectives were summoned to the scene, a standard practice when there's a chance a crime victim could die.
