I-93 south at Savin Hill around 9 p.m., on state traffic camera.
State Police report three suspects in a shooting at Southampton Street and Massachusetts Avenue Wednesday evening jumped into a car and tried to flee south - only to be pursued by Boston police officers and state troopers, who managed to box them in and arrest them.
State Police say troopers arrested the three at gunpoint around 7 p.m. - on Victory Road - not long after they tried to escape in a silver Nissan. State Police say their victim died.
Traffic on the Expressway south was tied up for much of the night, first because of the pursuit and then because of a search - on foot - by officers looking for the murder weapon, which police believe the suspects threw out of the car somewhere along the highway.
