The Boston Police Department reports arresting three men on charges they held up the Pleasant View Market, Savin Hill Avenue and Pleasant Street at gunpoint on Wednesday evening. Two were wearing GPS ankle braclets from earlier gun arrests, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Police say two of the three jumped behind the counter around 6 p.m. and demanded cash, with which they fled after also grabbing several cartons of Newport cigarettes.

Police say officers tracked Jose Morales, 21, and Andronique Dossantos, 18, both of Dorchester and Kallahn Winbush, 18, of Cambridge to an apartment nearby, at 22 Roach St., in part by using signals from one of the GPS devices.

The men refused to come out, but after being alerted they were surrounded, they eventually agreed with a police hostage negotiator to come out. The street was shut off during the negotiations.

According to police, officers armed with a search warrant later went into the apartment and found "a loaded .45 caliber handgun, a large amount of cash, the cartons of cigarettes which had been taken from the store as well as several other key pieces of evidence."

Dossantos was wearing a GPS device as a condition of his release on bail last October for an armed robbery outside the Savin Hill T station that allegedly netted him and his Needham accomplice only a salad in a bag.

Morales also had a GPS ankle bracelet on as a bail condition related to a gun arrest last May, the DA's office says.

At their arraignment Thursday, Dorchester District Court Judge Serge Georges set bail at $100,000 for Morales and Dossantos and agreed to revoke their earlier bail. Dossantos was already scheduled for a hearing on Friday related to the October case. "It seems likely he will appear," a spokesman for the DA's office says.

Georges set bail at $50,000 for the third suspect, Kallahn Winbush, 18, of Cambridge.
