Dot, Mattapan women join METCO’s board of directors

Dorchester resident Tracei Gamble and Mattapan native Bianca Sullivan have joined METCO’s board of directors.

Gamble is an accounts payable specialist at MIT’s Broad Institute and at Harvard University. A METCO alum from the Wayland Public Schools, she is the parent of a junior-year student at Reading High.

Sullivan is an Inclusion, Equity & Belonging business partner at DraftKings, Inc. and a METCO alum of the Wellesley Public Schools. The president of the Howard University Alumni Club of Massachusetts, Sullivan’s contributions to the board will focus on strengthening the organization’s alumni network and mentorship programs.

Darnell Billings, METCO board chair, welcomed “this talented group of leaders” to the board, saying, “Each new member brings unique expertise and a shared commitment to fostering equitable educational opportunities for all students. Their leadership will be invaluable as we continue to expand our impact and advocate for the future of METCO and its mission.”

Other new board members include Lori Dipina (The BASE), Elijah Evans (Bikes Not Bombs), Nia Grace (Grace by Nia Restaurant), Rosa Inniss (Belmont Public Schools), Nicole Johnson (Mass. Department of Higher Education), and Attorney David White (Davis & White Attorneys).
