Who’s in? Who’s out? Who’s still somewhere in between? Candidates will be able to apply for nomination papers at City Hall 12 days from now, on April 17.
The round-up:
-- City Councillor At-Large Felix Arroyo said late Thursday that he’s “leaning towards” a mayoral run and “feeling good” about the feedback he’s getting. He plans to have a decision next week. Former Phoenix reporter David Bernstein tweeted yesterday that City Councillor At-Large Ayanna Pressley is still considering a mayoral run.
-- Former Suffolk District Attorney Ralph Martin told the Herald’s Peter Gelzinis he has no plans to run for mayor: “Ralph Martin, who is now legal counsel for Northeastern University, made it quite clear to me that he has no intention of running for mayor.” Robert Lewis Jr., a former Menino administration official, told the Globe “he is considering a run.”
-- City Councillor At-Large John Connolly, one of the candidates who is definitely running, will be on WCVB’s “On The Record” on Sunday. District 5 Councillor Rob Consalvo, another mayoral candidate, was on FOX25 this morning.
-- WGBH yesterday posted this 30-minute look at a young Hyde Park man’s 1983 run for City Council. A must-watch for political junkies everywhere.
-- In case you missed this from yesterday: There’s apparently nothing (aside from the voters and how they’d feel about it) stopping city councillors running for both mayor and their council seats.
